I'm far too shy to participate in the dating/friends with benefits meme that's going around.

If you posted, and I didn't respond, it doesn't mean that I don't find you attractive. It just means I'm old-fashioned in some ways, I guess.

(I really can't see saying 'I'd hit it,' to any of my friends, just on general principle.)

Hear hear. I've not replied with exactly either option in any of what few times I've replied to that meme, because binary options are so limiting... while the whole gamut of affection is so vast, and the means to share it are so plentiful. :) Plus, I couldn't miss the occasion to turn a meme that was apparently meant to be 'merely' kinky into an actual expression of caring. ^^

The problem is that sexual attraction has so many levels. I'd do the meme if it came with options like:

* I think you're physically attractive, but I wouldn't do you because, hey, I don't know where your bits and pieces have been lately.
* I'd do you, but I'm not sure it's worth the included emotional baggage.
* I really really like you, so don't take this the wrong way when I say, I would never sleep with you.
* I think you're hot but I'm afraid of the repercussions of actually SAYING this to you.
* I'd do you, but my spouse might have a problem with that.

Of course, if people really said what they were thinking, it wouldn't be such a popular meme, I'm guessing. ;)
