This is one of those emails that was given to me by a friend, who got it from a friend, who got it from the writer himself, Matt Freeman, a NY playwright. 50,000 words or bust...

Okay, I took a couple of days off and was thinking maybe I was going to quit NaNoWriMo. That I'd sabotaged myself right out of the contest.

But here's the thing: I don't want to quit.

So I did the math.

30 days - 3 = 27 days left.

50,000 - 2,449 words already written = 47,551 words left to write.

47,551 words divided by 27 days = 1761.1 (rounded) words per day.

I can still do this.

I'm still in.
