probably I'm the only one who would find this amusing...

...but I'm going on a field trip with Daniel today to a medieval fair. I'm dressing up like a peasant using this general idea, with a long skirt and shirt I already had, overtunic of cheap brown fabric, a belt of hemp rickrack, a scarf/bonnet with leftover fabric, and socks and sandals.

And I'm thinking of wearing my Obama pin. Because, really, don't medieval peasants need a bit of hope, too?
