poetry - I like reading, writing, and teaching it, though it requires me to engage myself (emotionally, intellectually) in ways I'm sometimes lazy about. I have lots of favorite ones I return to. It's hard for me to speak about what it means to me: it's a big part of who I am. Often I show love for friends by writing them poems.
(temporary) tattoo -
moonwolf drew it on my back with Prismacolor marker. Even beyond the design itself, which is way cool (I love both the birdface toward the bottom and the wings), I love being drawn or written on, so the whole experience was neat.
roleplaying - To me, roleplaying (at least, the text-based stuff I do) is basically collaborative writing. I love to write, and rping online is getting immediate feedback and exposure to someone else's creativity. I also love hearing about other people's characters and what they mean to them, how they were developed, etc.
parenting - This is the meat and potatoes of my life, the prose, my daily job, and quite possibly the most important thing I do. I hope to be doing it a little better each day.
birds of prey - I adore raptors, even (especially?) ones traditionally not as popular with most people, like the turkey vultures I see on a daily basis. I love watching them in flight, their speed and grace and focused attention. I always feel excited when I see one, though I'm never as confident at IDing them as I'd like to be.
