Happy birthday, iampranada

With iampranada following beautyofgrey in terms of birthday goodness, I'm reminded of how lucky I am to have such brave, strong women on my friend list. iampranada is courageous enough to speak her truth, regardless of how difficult it might be. I respect her for that.

iampranada and I met on a poetry workshop/publication site, and we bonded over a love for words. Over the years, I've seen her interest in writing wane, and her interest in spirituality (and knitting! lol) increase. Recently she has been working on mad beekeeping skills.

iampranada's spirituality is both airy and earthbound. She meditates...and learns to play the keyboard in order to facilitate singing at her satsang. She chants...and mails out care packages. Like Amma, her guru, her devotion is both to Divinity and the light shining from each person's eyes. She loves with her heart and hands, strives to give selflessly to others through seva.

Her spiritual name, Pranada comes from prana, breath, and da, give. Breath facilitates connection with Spirit...and iampranada is generous with her time and energy in terms of helping people connect, each with his or her own spiritual path.

I am grateful to have met and to continue to know such a wise, dear soul.
