I didn't think I was going to get one done today/tonight, but I did. So still one behind, but not further behind, which is good.

I used brown instead of grey, just to give it a bit more color without a lot more effort.

Going to bed now. :-)

So El and I were playing a game while she was taking a bath, where she is a seal with a walrus friend and I'm the human girl that is friends with both of them (think Nim's Island, kind of.)

This morphed into a silly game where we were pretending that the walrus was taking up the whole bath in our bathroom, so he hopped into the sink and broke it. Then he hopped onto the floor and broke it and fell all the way down to the South Pole.

Ellie-the-seal was sad to lose her walrus friend.

Then she said, "I know. I'll contact him through my GPS and find him at the Sorth Pole and then I can say goodbye." So she said goodbye into her pretend...GPS phone thingy? I don't know.

She seems so much more sophisticated than I was at seven. :-D

Ginger and Garlic, BFFs

It feels like this has been going on forever... I enjoy these; it's just hard fitting them into the day, as well as--well, I usually enjoy the drawing process, but then when I step back and analyze I see all the flaws. It's different from writing because the mistakes are more glaring. I enjoy the actual process, so I think it's worthwhile, and it's probably good to release the ego around it too.

So...this was an attempt at a still life on my dining room table. I think the cell phone pic actually improved it, if that tells you anything. :-D
