For a while now, I've been admiring people's Thankful Thursday posts. However, being a combination of compulsive and spacy has kept me from participating - I either think of things to be thankful for, and then think, 'wait, it's not Thursday, I can't post that yet,' and so don't...or it's Thursday and I keep meaning to do it and don't get around to it...or, conversely, it's Thursday and I'm pissy and just don't feel like it.

So, I've decided that since, post-Thanksgiving holidays, I want to make gratitude a regular part of my life, I'm going to make lists just whenever the mood strikes. I hope that it will happen a lot. But I'll put the lists behind a cut, because I care. :-)

being able to finally leave the windows open and not have to run the AC at home (this could change at any time - damn Florida weather - but it's nice for now)

setting up the Yule tree and decorating the house a bit

making plans to do holiday crafts with my kids

still having some of last year's holiday-scented incense from http://www.makeincense.com, and using it! (yes, I cheated and got [livejournal.com profile] beetiger to make it)

chatting with friends last night after a week away

picking up things and putting them away in my house :-)

morning time alone

Tara Brach's book Radical Acceptance, highly recommended

the lightening that's come along with the above book

Could you say a little about Radical Acceptance? The title sounds interesting to me. What do you like about it?
