Okay, [livejournal.com profile] dajagr had this great idea, because it's November, to write each day about something he's thankful for. And then [livejournal.com profile] shaterri decided to do it too. I thought it was a terrific idea, but I hang out with an eight-year-old and a five-year-old, so I kept hearing 'copycat!' in my head. And then [livejournal.com profile] jakebe decided to do it.

So I think now it qualifies as a bona fide meme and I'm going to try it. I'm also going to go back and do the days I missed because I'm kind of compulsive that way. @.@

November 1st I was grateful for Halloween candy. :-9

November 2nd I was grateful that our participation in the temple's Shabbat service went off without a hitch.

November 3rd I was grateful to be with my extended family following the death of my grandfather.

November 4th I was grateful to rp on MUCKs with friends.

November 5th I was grateful to be able to bury my cat, even though it was difficult. I was grateful for my friends who held me when I was sad (and for everyone on here who did the same.) I was also grateful that my cousin Michele (on my dad's side) came to the viewing and we got to catch up for the first time in several years.

November 6th I was grateful...okay, this one's lame...but I was grateful that the young karate instructor I think is cute came and sat next to me and chatted with Ellie and me at practice. Luckily, I restrained myself from putting my head on his shoulder or kissing his soft lips. *blush*

The funeral service also made me glad to have known such an amazing person and to be connected with his family.

November 7th my heart cracked open, and I was grateful for the whole world. Also, Dave came home. Yay!

So now we're up to the present. And today has barely started, but I will say that I am absurdly, completely, grateful for coffee.

Lately we've been getting Eight O' Clock coffee and grinding it in the store. It's not hugely expensive, and I like the taste of it, enough to drink it black (with a little sugar) most of the time. I'm very ritualistic about it, and each day it's a comforting, happy little part of my morning. (And if I'm really f/lagging, my afternoon, too.)
