So...I was decluttering today and I found some old notebooks, and I was looking through one (to determine if it was empty or full) and I found notes toward a poem.
I'm pretty sure it's recent, like within the last couple of months...and I vaguely remember writing this, trying to get the poem to come...but I have no idea of the context and, thus, what I was actually trying to express.
***
careful steps
back into the sun
first movements
tentative
seeing world - perspective shifting
self-embrace
strength, pride
fluidity love
self-protective
luxurious
reminds me
love yourself
god pouring down
life sings its beating heart to you
guard it in your hand and help it soar
***
I'm guessing I was thinking of a baby bird in that last part.
I really wish I had some idea of where I was going with this. I'm keeping it just in case I want to come back to it and play with it.
There seems to be a tension here between protection and release, holding things in or letting them go. I think it might be fun to explore that, but...I'm really not sure how to.
