Super Smash Bros. Brawl ?

Hi LJ peeps,

Does anyone know how to unlock Shadow on Super Smash Bros. Brawl? A frustrated nine-year-old will be forever in your debt if you know the answer. ;-) We already have unlocked Sonic, if that matters at all.

... Shadow's not actually a playable character. There's an Assist Trophy of Shadow, but that's not the same thing.

Apparently, Shadow isn't actually available as a character in Brawl, only as an assist trophy (http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/items/assist/assist01.html) -- basically, a helper NPC of sorts.

Me: Aww...the puppy's an assist trophy! That's so cute!

Daniel: I hate that thing! It covers the whole screen! The CPUs just keep going 'cause they're just programs but I can't see anything! It gets up on the inside of the screen, like with its paws and stuff, and then it starts licking.

*laugh* I think you just have your priorities straight. Licking >> gaming, although I suppose Daniel might not see it that way yet. *giggle*
