being a grownup

fyo: I can't wait to be a grownup.

me: But then I won't be able to snuggle you like this anymore. And I like my snuggles.

fyo: Yeah, but there's lots of things that I want to do.

me: There's lots of things about being a grownup that aren't fun.

fyo: Yeah, but I want to cook things for people. And I want to chop things up for people. I want to use sharp knives. And I want to light candles all the time, whenever I want. And I want to have babies with the most beautiful girl in town!

me: *chokes back laughter*
