Oct. 12th, 2004 01:58 pmToday D 'worked from home,' which euphemistically means about what you'd expect. I'm feeling very sated right now, still basking in afterglow, while D snores downstairs. Apparently I wore him out a bit. *grin*
I have to go to preschool in a bit, but even that's not dampening my mood. I really wasn't cut out to be a preschool teacher/teacher's aide, even part-time, on a volunteer basis. But I am attached to the kids, and it does feel good to be so connected to a community of sorts apart from our family. I'm glad to be helping the co-op to work...at the same time, I'd like to feel more productive during the day, and having a larger block of time to work with might help that. Then again, it might not. *grin*
Yesterday was a good day. I created 2 cds for a friend for her birthday. One was from high school/college years, music we used to listen to together. The other was some of the stuff I like now, as contrast and to share. This is the friend in GA that we visited during Frances. I feel like we really reconnected while I was there, and hope to stay in better touch.
Had some great online conversations yesterday with robotmonster (who got to hear the size 16 blues, lol... :-P), koogrr, and shaterri. I love it when I engage in something approximating real conversation on the Internet. It's always fun. :-)
Tonight D will be out playing racquetball, tomorrow I have my weekly pagan meeting (though i've missed several weeks) and will have to tape (yeah I'm sooo 20th century lol) the debate (also a political nerd, heh). Then Thursday D is having a team meeting at EPCOT of all places, so will be home late. Not sure what's in store for the weekend, though ladymerri and I are kicking around the idea of meeting. (right?? ;-) )
All in all, things feel good. Have a pleasant endorphin buzz going at the moment, and I feel blessed. I wish I knew how to make this feeling stay.

Date: 2004-10-14 11:01 am (UTC)I guess for me, being pagan means that nature is where I find solace and strength and joy; that the concept of 'goddess' has meaning for me (though precisely what that meaning is can vary from time to time); and that I believe in intentionally creating rituals to make the world a better place, on a personal and global level. I also believe that whatever I put out into the world will come back to me multiplied, and so I should try to put positive energy of appreciation and gratitude into the universe as much as possible. Heh. As you can probably tell from reading my lj, some days I'm better at that than others.
Believe it or not, that's the short version. ;-)
The group meets weekly to plan holiday rituals (most holidays such as Halloween or Christmas have pagan roots...) and to share what's going on in our lives. We also plan life passage rituals as needed and listen to cool music. :-D
I'd worry that you'd think I'm weird...but then, you already knew that, didn't you? ;-)

Date: 2004-10-17 05:55 am (UTC)How'd you find this group? Sounds awesome...
By the way, I'm soooo sorry...with the computer crashing, and then spending all day Thursday trying to fix it, I didn't realize it was Friday until about 10pm Friday night...
My life is not my own. I know you understand. We WILL get together...someday... :(

Date: 2004-10-17 06:35 am (UTC)Would you be up for going to the Wine/Cheese festival at EPCOT before it ends? Maybe foxie could come with us, too. (I'm sure we'd have to twist his paw...rofl...)
*hugs and smiles thinking of future girl cuddles ;-)*
