Fear is a strobe light flickering faster and faster.
Affection hums and purrs.
Autumn is crunchy like granola.
The V of volleys.
Flannel
Snortles
Knowledge smells like books: old, dusty ones and new just-cracked ones.
I punctuate life with the simple period. It allows time to reflect; it's not breathless like the comma, or refined like the semicolon. It doesn't hesitate like the dash--or pontificate like the exclamation point(!), or circle endlessly like the question mark. (Or does it?) It doesn't make constant asides. It just is.
Death tastes sour and metallic, like rust or blood.
Pine. (get it?)
