Aug. 2nd, 2009 12:09 pmJust sitting here smelling meat and garlic sizzling and listening to Ellie and Dave chatting in the kitchen as Dave starts a beef stew.
"Isn't it neat that we saw mommy's favorite color in the sky? Her favorite color is dark blue."
"I can smell the pepper! I can smell just like a dog! I can smell things that are miles away from me, I can. When Daniel was far away from me, like down the hallway, I could smell the smell of Daniel."
Dave's contributions are mostly murmurs of assent and "yeah, that's cool,"s as he works. He did ask if the smell of Daniel was a good smell, and Ellie remarkably said that it was. :-)
I'm so glad Dave's back home. I feel like I can relax a bit again. Daniel's playing at the neighbor's house, which makes me a little nervous, but right now on the whole everything is peaceful.

New Friend!
