new acquaintances

falcongrrlWe appear to have a couple of these in the neighborhood lake across the street. A mated pair would be cool - the hatchlings shown on the page above are soo cute!
I haven't actually seen two of them - Daniel's friend M did, and then Ellie confirmed it. M is prone to exaggeration, but it still wouldn't surprise me if there are two.
The one I saw loves bread, which surprised me. And a cooked piece of pasta from my lunch. :-D Though we should research healthy snacks for them.
While down there, I saw a magenta dragonfly, a heron, and an egret, too.
