Assigned Work
Jan. 27th, 2005 10:30 amI have just a few minutes of work left before it's time to go to the chapel for community mass, but I can't bear to proofread any more of Sister Catherine's pages. While she's a whiz at .html tags, her design lacks style, and she can't remember the difference between your and you're to save her life. Also, she can't form plural nouns or spell any word of more than three syllables correctly. Lord forgive me.
I know I started this journal for some reason other than to gossip about my companions.
While it's true that often people think that those of us who have been called to this vocation are remarkably pious, I actually think the opposite - that God must have called us in spite of our faults, or even because of them, in order to purify us in the cleansing waters of His Holy Spirit.
I must remember to draw close to Him during those times when impatience and frustration threaten to bring out the worst of me. I must remember that my Sisters, like me, are here merely to serve, to do their best.
For my journal picture I have chosen my favorite picture of our dear St. Clare. May I strive to be like her, humble and patient, yet illuminating others' path so that they may find the peace of Our Lord.
