Jan. 12th, 2021 09:48 amCard: Death
Deck: Fifth Spirit

The first thing I notice is that it's the Death card and that feels alarming to me right now.
Describing the Image: An interracial couple holds their child. One of them is breastfeeding the baby, her torso bare. There is a butterfly and snake near them. Above them is Margaret Atwood as a crone dressed in all black, and then to the left and above is a robed, crowned figure with a skull for a face. There are three depictions of the moon: dark, crescent, and full. There is another butterfly near the top of the card. Smoke winds around the figures.
Colors, Shapes, Symbols and Meaning, Background:
Colors - black, brown, gray, white,
Shapes - circles, crescent, winding curves
Symbols and meaning - the moon - intuition, the subconscious; snake and butterfly - rebirth; skull - death; Atwood - wisdom, hard truthtelling
Background - a gray sky
This card makes me feel apprehensive.
It reminds me of Dave's procedure and makes me nervous.
The energy of this card is that of both death and rebirth.
I could use this card's energy today by believing that we are moving into a new chapter of life.
KEYWORDS: transformation, necessary endings, change, releasing
LWB quote: "Nothing is born if nothing dies. All new things are nurtured on the bones of the old."
