Week in review

I thought I would take some time each Sunday to review how I've been doing with my resolutions... Feel free to skip it; it's not particularly interesting, mostly just tracking for me.
Home: I've been doing a lot better getting my daily and weekly chores done around the house. The house looks a lot nicer and I feel better about it. I still need to work on the bedrooms (ours and the kids'), though, and the laundry's pretty much out of control. I might even take a good chunk of it to the laundromat and let them do it after Dave gets paid. It's an expense that's not really in our budget, but I really need to do something to get caught up.
Spirit: My goal was to meditate five times a week. I did meditate three times this week. I think I'm going to keep five times a week on the schedule.
Body: I've been doing very well with mindful eating, with only a couple of slip-ups. I'm learning to recognize when my body's actually hungry and to stop eating when I'm full. This sounds very basic, but it's a big change for me.
I have not been doing well with exercising. My goal was aerobic exercise three times a week and The S Factor workout book twice a week. I didn't exercise at all this past week. I think I'm going to start again with a base goal of just exercising twice a week, total, whatever I can manage to do (which will probably be the book, since I can't take El walking or bike riding without fear of her running off).
I really want to drink more water, too, and take a multivitamin each day.
Mind: I haven't done anything toward my goals of improving my languages or higher level math knowledge, but I have been writing every day, thanks in no small part to NaPoeWriMo. It feels really good. I hope I'll continue this practice even after January's over.
Relationships: My goal was to have some sort of special activity with each child every day. I think my definition of this got a bit more lax as the week went on, but I managed it five times out of seven for each child.
I still need to work on carving out time for actual (uninterrupted) conversation with Dave.
I could be spending more time with my friends, too.

As a note
Date: 2006-01-09 01:57 am (UTC)Sounds like you're doing pretty well overall. Best wishes for next week! And I think it's good that you're keeping track on a week-to-week basis. :)
